In collaboration with the Peabody Award winning website Transom.org, we are seeking both artists and everyday people to create a story form audio and/or video representation of their identity in 5 minutes or less.
Self Cinema is part of an ongoing program that will continue and build upon itself. If your piece is selected, it may be featured on the FLIK website, the Transom website, as well as FLIK Festival screenings and special events.

We are pleased to announce that for her body of work (POD, Danger in the Streets of the Sky, & Berlin Skin), FLIK 2008’s Best in Show award goes to Kim Collmer of Cologne, Germany. There were some amazing selections for this year’s festival inclusive of countless aesthetic sensibilities and techniques. Artist and Magician David London is on the front page of this week’s Washington City Paper. Here’s a quick clip: “Next, London does a classic “was this your card?” trick, but instead of cards, it’s “celebrity toenail shavings” in glass vials, and instead of the Queen of Hearts or Jack of Spades, it’s Richard Nixon, Sally Struthers, and Donnie and Marie Osmond.
